Nine-time Golden Guitar Award winner Lyn Bowtell is in the running for three more gongs at the 2023 Toyota Golden Guitar Awards held in Tamworth in January 2023.

Lyn was named as a finalist in the Female Artist of the Year, Contemporary Album of the Year , and Vocal Collaboration of the Year categories (with Shane Nicholson), for her latest Album ‘Wiser’

Produced by Shane Nicholson, ‘Wiser’ hit #1 on the ARIA Australian Country Album Chart, and the singles have enjoyed great chart success.

Lyn said she was honoured to be among the finalists in the 51st Toyota Country Music Awards of Australia.

“The Golden Guitars are our industry’s night of nights, so I can’t wait to get frocked up and celebrate our music with my friends,” she said.

“Wiser was a labour of love for me and I’m so proud of what we have achieved with this album and every single song on it. I’m thrilled to be nominated for three more Golden Guitars.”

Shane said it felt surreal to be nominated with Lyn.

“It feels extremely surreal to be sharing a vocal collaboration nomination with one of the best singers in the country,” he said.

“I hitched my dinghy to the right ocean liner, methinks.”

Lyn Bowtell alongside Her ‘Famous Friends’ will be performing at the 51st Tamworth Country Music Festival, and will take to the stage at the Longyard Hotel on Sunday, January 22.
