Stunning, heartfelt vocals, beautifully-crafted songs and world-class performances, there are few female voices in Australia to rival the class and style of Lyn Bowtell.
An innovative songwriter, Lyn defies easy classification. With influences reaching from pure country to blues, jazz and pop, Lyn has her own distinctive voice and musical identity.
Lyn’s musical journey began in the Country Music Clubs of the Darling Downs and has led her to stages all over Australia and around the world.
Lyn first came to prominence as songwriter and singer for multi-award-winning country pop trio Bella. Since then she has released critically acclaimed albums ‘Secret Songs’ in 2012, ‘Heart Of Sorrow’ in 2014 and EP ‘Calling You‘ in 2017, all brimming with the singer’s soulful vocals, highlighting the sublime voice that turned heads and four red chairs on national television in Channel Nine’s Season 6 of The Voice Australia.
Lyn’s most recent ARIA #1 Album ‘Wiser’, produced by Shane Nicholson, was released on May 13th 2022 and won Contemporary Country Album of the Year at the 2023 CMAA Golden Guitar Awards.
Lyn will be releasing her latest Album ‘Paper Cuts’ in mid 2025, the first Single ‘Paper Cut‘ is out on 17th January.
Lyn is a ten-time Golden Guitar winner, Toyota Star Maker winner, MO award winner, 2022 Hands of Fame inductee and is the Artistic Director of the CMAA Academy of Country Music.
