She has one of the most amazing voices in this country, I love this beautiful woman and her talent” – Kasey Chambers
Listening to Lyn Bowtell sing and play one of her own songs is purely magical. The voice of an angel, the words of a poet and the string skills of a master.
I am so much better for the time I have spent touring, writing and laughing with Lyn Bowtell.” –
Beccy Cole
If anything, Bowtell is a little too good, as a singer she demands a response even when she is just singing a straight pop song, and when Bowtell is pulling you in deep her voice is like a tantalising quicksandIman lababedi, Rock NYC Live and Recorded.

Stunning, heartfelt vocals, beautifully-crafted songs and world-class performances, there are few female voices in Australia to rival the class and style of Lyn Bowtell.

An innovative songwriter, Lyn defies easy classification. With influences reaching from pure country to blues, jazz and pop, Lyn has her own distinctive voice and musical identity.

Lyn’s musical journey began in the Country Music Clubs of the Darling Downs and has led her to stages all over Australia and around the world.

Lyn first came to prominence as songwriter and singer for multi-award-winning country pop trio Bella. Since then she has released critically acclaimed albums ‘Secret Songs’ in 2012, ‘Heart Of Sorrow’ in 2014 and EP ‘Calling You’ in 2017, all brimming with the singer’s soulful vocals, highlighting the sublime voice that turned heads and four red chairs on national television in Channel Nine’s Season 6 of The Voice Australia.

Lyn’s latest Album ‘Wiser’, produced by Shane Nicholson, will be released in May 2022.

Lyn is a nine-time Golden Guitar winner, Toyota Star Maker winner, MO award winner and is the Artistic Director of the CMAA Academy of Country Music.
